The sun has been shining and I have been busy! This is such a beautiful song and sometimes I forget to look around at the wonderful things I do have in life. Everyone should live their life like it’s golden. Have a great Thursday!

Sunday Morning Apple Fritters March 7, 2010

What better thing to do on a Sunday morning than make apple fritters? I couldn’t think of anything better this morning so that’s exactly what I did. They were delicious and I highly suggest you take a stab at it. They’re so easy and the recipe makes a million of them! I got them on The Pioneer Woman, she has step by step instructions. I made them according to the recipe except I didn’t make the glaze.

John Mayer – Heartbreak Warfare Tour

John on the screen and John in the bottom right corner.

I know I’ve expressed my undying love for John Mayer before, but it was strengthened on Friday night. He stopped in OKC for a leg of his Heartbreak Warfare tour. The last time I say John Mayer in Concert was a few years ago, I had front row tickets. I didn’t have anything but a junky camera phone to take pictures with, I definitely regret that now. He had a much larger production budget this time around, that’s for sure. Friday night I had gotten a few movies from the Redbox and had planned on cooking some dinner and vegging with my guy. He works at a radio station part time and he got a call from his boss saying he had extra tickets. The show started at 8pm and we had to go pick up the tickets, I was nowhere near concert ready. My hair was everywhere, nothing to wear, no tan… I refused to look bad at this concert. My guy went to get the tickets and I stayed behind to get beautified. (Is that a word?) Even though the odds were against us we made it to our seats before the opening act was finished. We also had to have the usher remove a few guys from our seats. We were toward the back of the arena, our seats were great but it was a little difficult to capture the energy in the room with my camera. It was an amazing night!

Mr. Mayer used Twitter to ask fans what they would like to hear during the acousitc set.
“Your Body is a Wonderland” won. I’m so thankful because it was BEAUTIFUL!
My camera died so I started using the camera on my phone. It took pretty good pics.
At the end I was worried he wasn’t going to play my two fave songs. But the never disappointing John Mayer came through in the encore with “Gravity” and “Who Says”! Aaaaahh, heaven! I posted the video for “Who Says” at this older John Mayer post, it also has links to his Twitter and Facebook pages. Below is the video for “Gravity”. Enjoy!

The song “Heartbreak Warfare” starts at the 1:33 mark.

Thunder Up!

Tuesday night I went to the OKC Thunder vs. Sacremento Kings game. It was so much fun and we ended up winning! I saw Bob Stoops, I drank Budlight Lime, watched Jazzercise, and we all had a wonderful time!

A great looking crowd.
It’s a lot easier to take pictures when they’re not moving!
There’s Bob (in the black), he was pretty far away.
My guy and his little sister. (She came from Boston to visit for the week)
Possibly the most strange half time show I’ve ever seen. They did Jazzercise…
Our lovely mascott, Rumble the Bison. Isn’t he cute?

I received an email forward this afternoon that brightened my day. I was an hour late to work today. (No makeup and hair undone.) This email really made me smile, so I figured I should share.  It’s sunny and beautiful outside. I figured this post needed to be a little brighter. Enjoy the scene of the cherry blossoms in the spring! Happy Thursday!
